wasuremono is pleased to announce our new exhibition of the print works by Osamu
Ishiyama.
We will exhibit the series "The cyber fossil temple" which includes 32
copperplate prints made by architect Osamu Ishiyama during the last two
years.
Osamu ISHIYAMA
Born inTokyo in 1944.Architect. Professor at Waseda University's Department of Architecture. Created architectures using workman's skill such as "Gen-An (1975)",
"Izu Chohachi Sakan-art Museum(1985, awarded the Tenth Isoya Yoshida Prize) and "The Rias Ark Museumof Art(1995, The Design Award from the Architectural Institute of Japan). In 1996 won
the Golden Lion Award at Venice Biennale 6th International Architecture
Exhibition. Awarded "Japan Inter-Design Forum Award(1998)", "Oribe
Award(1999)" and "The Minister of MEXT Award for Art(2001)".
!n2004 the first solo exhibition of drawings and prints at Gallery Toki
no Wasuremono.
