Tsunehiko Momose was born 1947 in Nagano and graduated from Musashino Art University Department of Commercial Design. While at the university and from then on, he has travelled across the world, photographing landscapes with people and their lives. He has been developing and producing a world of unique photographic expression. He photographed portraits of famous figures such as Mother Teresa, produced series of photos based on tattoos and monochrome printed his image onto a Japanese paper which he then colored with paints used for a Japanese painting. Works in this exhibition are monochrome images taken on his trip to Fez, Morocco in 1990, printed on baryta paper. There are around 20 images, 10 of which are printed as a set for the portfolio "Mushoku Ujo" (Ed.12).

■Tsunehiko MOMOSE (1947-) (Japanese page)
Tsunehiko Momose was born 1947 in Nagano and graduated from Musashino Art University Department of Commercial Design. While at the university and from then on, he has travelled across the world, photographing landscapes with people and their lives. In 1991 he hosted the exhibition "Mushoku Ujo" at Aoyama Photo Gallery. Works were monochrome photographs of people of Fez, Morocco. The title of the exhibition was named by the poet Shuntaro TANIKAWA, who travelled to Morocco together. In 1993 he published collection of poems and photographs "Children's portrait" together with Shuntaro TANIKAWA. As a creator, he developed a unique monochrome prints by printing images onto a Japanese paper. The theme of these prints were tatoos, which he worked on several years. In November 1994 held photo exhibition "TATOUAGES-PORTRAITS" at Gallery Kuki at Paris, France. In this exhibition, monochrome tatoo prints were colored with traditional Japapnese painting techniques. In 1995, photographed Mother Teresa at Calcutta, India. Since then he has held countless photo exhibitions in and out of Japan.
