In Osamu Ishiyama Etching Exhibition, held at Otani Museum (designed by Josiah Conder) located in Kyu-Furukawa Gardens, I wanted Condor's lifetime dedication to Japan as the humble theme. Works in this exhibition were etched in China and India, about what I would like to do from now on.
Sometimes etching express feelings more honestly than architectual designs. I would like people to see them with their own eyes.
Works in this exhibtion can be purchased through Gallery Toki-no-Wasuremono. There is also a Jazz Live by Akira Sakata. There are limited seats available. For a reservation, please contact STUDIO GAYA.

■Osamu ISHIYAMA(1944-)
Born inTokyo in 1944.Architect. Professor at Waseda University's Department of Architecture. Created architectures using workman's skill such as "Gen-An (1975)", "Izu Chohachi Sakan-art Museum(1985, awarded the Tenth Isoya Yoshida Prize) and "The Rias Ark Museumof Art(1995, The Design Award from the Architectural Institute of Japan). In 1996 won the Golden Lion Award at Venice Biennale 6th International Architecture Exhibition. Awarded "Japan Inter-Design Forum Award(1998)", "Oribe Award(1999)" and "The Minister of MEXT Award for Art(2001)".
