We are auctioning off the works of Mr. S, who was active with a global perspective from the 1950s and participated in avant garde movements including as a member of The Night Society, and Mr. Y, the defiant critic who also from the 1950s traveled the country carrying Iri and Toshi Maruki’s The Hiroshima Panels.
This is a rare collection of artists spanning the avant garde period of the 1950s-1970s.
■The list of works (including the starting bids) is currently being constructed until November 26th and will be sent by mail or post to interested parties.
The list will not be posted to the homepage.

Write “Email Auction Bid” as the subject. In the body, please be sure to put your name, address, the lot number of the work you wish to bid on, the work’s title and artist, your bid, and the shipping method.

You may bid directly at the gallery. Please feel free to come if you wish to see the works in person.
●Bidding method 3/ Bid by post or fax
For those bidding through post, please make sure we receive it by Saturday, December 10th.
For those bidding by fax, please keep in mind that our line may get congested near the deadline and send your bid in early.

★Regardless of your bidding method, the deadline of the auction is Saturday, December 10th at 5 PM / 17:00 (UST+9)。
★To reduce risk, we rely on the "middle value method."
The bidder with the highest bid will receive the lot, but the price to be paid will be the average of the highest bid and the second highest bid. For example, if the highest and the second highest bid are JPY 200,000 and JPY 100,000, respectively, the final price will be JPY 150,000.
In case there is only one bidder, the average of the bid and the initial price will be the final price.
★If the highest bid was offered by more than one bidder, the sucessful bidder will be chosen by lottery.
★Upon bidding, please clearly state a method of receiving works (Shipping / Pick up from the gallery)
★If you choose a work to be shipped, shipping and packaging cost will be charged separately.
There will be no extra charge for pick up at the gallery.
