Artist introduction= Tesuro KOMAI (1920 - 1976), known as the "Copperplate printing poet", is person of cultural merit, who was awarded the prize in the first São Paulo Art Biennial after the war, making Japan known to the world for its printing quality, along with Shikou MUNAKATA. He continued to lead the world of modern printing and brought up many talents. About this product= This is a catalog for "Fukuhara Collection Tesuro KOMAI Works Exhibition / Shape of Unfinished Dream", held at the Shiseido Gallery in November 2003. Mr. Yoshiharu FUKUHARA, the honorary president of Shiseido is known for very wide range of his cultural activities as well as his fame for art collection. His KOMAI works collection, gathered personally over 40 years have a concept that differs from other museum collections. There were 6,000 vistors during the exhibition, showing the popularity of KOMAI's work as well as the high qualty of the FUKUHARA collection. |
