Born in Tokyo. Have a Korean father and a Japanese mother who are both artists. Moved to France at the age of 8. Has learned ballet at the Centre de Danse International Rosella Hightower, receiving her Baccalauréat in Dance and Music. Entered the École Florent and on to the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique to study Acting. Has played roles as diverse as "Yuli", the Japanese spy in the Luc Besson production Taxi 2, to those in the American independent film〝Rendezvous in Samarkand〝 or the Hungarian film "Close to Love", for which she was awarded the "Best Actress" prize at the 2000 Festival de Films Européens Premiers Plans. |
In "Yuki & Nina", the film which was selected in 2009 Cannes Film Festival's Directorl's Fortnight section, she played opposite French actor Hippolyte Girardot, co-directed by Girardot with Japanese director Nobuhiro Suwa. While pursuing her acting career, she has devoted herself to new opportunities for creation in the realm of the visual arts. | ||
