Kazumi HAYASHI

Hayashi is the owner of Gallery Nadar and a member of the Society of Publishing Arts. Born in Mie Prefecture, he completed the photography course at Osaka University of the Arts. His career included positions in an advertising studio and a photo agency, until he opened Gallery Nadar in Osaka in 2000. A branch gallery in Tokyo followed in 2003 (the original Gallery Nadar in Osaka closed 2014, with the Tokyo branch remaining in operation, now as the main location).

Hayashi describes himself as a “cover photographer” which implies his works being used for a variety of book and magazine cover designs. His photo books include “Fingertips” (Seigensha Publishing), “Cover Photographs” (Nadar), as well as “Notebook of Photography Life,” “Notebook of Photography Life: Putting it into Practice” (both Pie Books), and “Camera Lessons for Women” (Ooizumi Shoten).
