He was a painter, poet, and artist born in 1879. After going to the U.S. for joining in the Contemporary Art Exhibition “Armory Show” held in New York in 1913, he continued his activities while traveling back and forth between the U.S. and Europe. He is known as one of the promoters of the Dada movement with Marcel Duchamp and Man Ray in the U. S. and as a writer whose style changed rapidly. In 1953, he passed away at the age of 74 in Paris. |
