Born 1950 in Tokyo, Japan. Graduated from Sophia University, Faculty of Humanities. Writer. Lived in New York from 1979 to 1981, starting as a writer. She has been praised for writing portraits of representitive post-war photographers in "Me no karyudo (Hunter of an eye)" (Shinchosha, Chikumashobo). Her other works are "Asufaruto no inu (A dog of an asphalt)" (SUMAI Library Publishing Company), "Zukan shounen (A pictorial book boy)" (Shogakukan), "Kimi no iru seikatsu (A life with you)" (Bungeishunju) and others. |

She draws a story alive in a city borderless of real and unreal. She takes photographs herself, but also writes novels, essays, reviews, reports, recites and steps lightly over borders of genres, attracting many people with her words. Currently holding a recital gathering "Katarikoko", inviting various guests. |
